Mary Kupiec Clayton (history and American studies) and Peter W.
Williams (comparative religion and American studies) edited the
"Encyclopedia of American and Cultural and Intellectual History."
The three-volume set has been published after more then three years
of work.

Oxford crisis center turns 30.  Founded in 1971 serving Miami
Students, in 1983 their focus changed to include the community as
well.

An editorial about the effects of tuition increases at Ohio public
colleges and universities on students working their way through
school.  Encourages lawmakers to take a long hard look at Ohio's
higher education budget.

The Middletown Journal, Thursday, July 5
Miami's Regional campuses raise tuition for the first time in three
years. Tuition will go up 3 percent for first- and second-year
students and 6 percent for third-and fourth-year students at Hamilton
and Middletown.  The new rates will still be lower then they were
five years earlier for the regional campuses.

development at Miami University.  Quoted Steve Snyder (secretary,

Yale, Cornell, Stanford and 25 other leading colleges and
universities have agreed to new guidelines for determining
eligibility for financial aid.  The new guidelines endorse need-based
aid at a time when many states and colleges are offering scholarships
to students they want the most rather than those who require
financial aid to attend a college.
