Rhodes State had a decline during the Summer 2004 quarter of 8.5%
relative to Summer 2003. For Fall 2004 we appear to be even with last
Fall.

Subject: Summer enrollments
Kent State experienced a decline in undergraduate enrollment during this
past summer after seeing enrollment increases for several of the
previous
summers. We are currently trying to determine the reasons for the
decline.
One theory that has been expressed is that more students worked over the
summer to pay for the fall tuition increases or to take advantage of an
improving economy. If that is the case, we would expect other
institutions
to also have experienced a decline in summer enrollments.
To get a rough idea of what has happened in the state, could you please
let
me know if your summer enrollments were up or down? I do not need any
details just an indication if it was up or down. After we get some
responses, I will let everyone know what the consensus was.
Thank you for your help.
