Africana Studies Program: Associate Professor or Professor and
Director

Barnard College announces an opening for a Director of its Program
in Africana Studies, a tenured/tenure track position at the
Associate Professor or Professor level. Candidates should have a
Ph.D. in the humanities or social sciences and a demonstrated
record of teaching and research in African and/or African-diasporic
studies. Candidates should send a letter outlining research
interests and activities, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of
reference to: Search Committee Chair, Program in Africana Studies,
Barnard College, 3009 Broadway, New York, NY 10027. Review of
applications will begin on December 5, 2005 and will continue until
