From Madison Township - I just got a phone call from an area nurseryman
with property North of Chapel Road and East of Rte 528 (sorry, it is
private property) that he has a flock of at least 100 snow buntings
feeding in one of his fields...earliest he remembers seeing them. I had
gone over to the Marina in Geneva State Park this morning to look for
buntings because I had seen a recent post that they were being found up
here near the lake. It is nasty and raining now but I think I will go
look again tomorrow - the dunes and beach at Headlands are usually good
for snow buntings too.
