This evening, Susan Jones and I watched two Northern Mockingbirds along the Hike&Bike trail in
Sagamore Hills. This species, while getting more popular in nearby Cleveland, has not made many
appearances in northern Summit County. Our walk also yielded one Eastern Towhee, several Carolina
Wrens, numerous White-throated Sparrows and a cooperative Red-shouldered Hawk, perched on one
of the high-tension wire towers about 20 feet above us.
