Over the last few days I've seen some nice birds in the backyard here in
Grandview Heights.
They include: several yellow-bellied sapsuckers, a winter wren (present for
over a week now), a hermit thrush, bunches of white-throated sparrows and
dark-eyed juncos, and best of all, a late ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK my wife
spotted this afternoon. I'm hoping the bird comes back so I can get a
better look...it was "flushed" when my dog made a run at the squirrels from
the deck.
Good birding,
John
