About 4 p.m. today an adult bald eagle was on a treetop perch on Route 2 just west of the bend in the road at the Davis-Besse Power Plant in Ottawa County. When we pulled over for a second look, the eagle gave us a moment and then flew a short distance away to another high perch. It was enough, though, to see the yellow bill, white head and white tail. It was massive.
