Kensington Oval and Rocky River Park, Rocky River
Maple Cliff Drive, Lakewood
(for directions see the Kirtland Bird Club's Winter Lakefront Birding Trail)
Observer: Paula Lozano

After stops at Kensington Oval and Rocky River Park in Rocky River, I went
back into Lakewood to scan the lake from the north end of Maple Cliff Drive.
27 Bufflehead were counted at Rocky River Park. There were approximately a
dozen Common Loons at each stop and at least as many Horned Grebes at the
stops in Rocky River. However, WNW of the Maple Cliff Drive overlook there
was a large group of at least 65 Horned Grebes, with an additional 15 seen
from the same vantage point.
