I went down to 72nd Street from around 10AM to 1PM. I also saw Tom LePage there. All was quiet till around 11AM. We noticed a dark bird to the east down toward Dike 14. ( Jaeger like ). He made two passes and we never saw him again. Then around 12 noon I spotted the Kittiwake amongst the Bonaparte's on the water. We had great looks. We watched it on and off till 12:30PM. It was in the air once but I lost it. Relocated it again for good looks through the scope. Three Great Black-backed gulls made an appearance ( 1 adult, 1-3rd winter and one 1st winter I think ). We saw no Herring Gulls. All were Bonaparte's by the bridge with a few Ringbills with them. The majority of Ringbills were down by the Marina to the East. Great day to be out and about.
