Today about 1:30 I saw a white goose with black
primaries flying (alone and fast) south from the
intersection of Tyler and Heisley in Mentor. I
thought snow goose until I got home and finally looked
up what a Ross's goose looks like. This goose was 2 -
3 miles down Tyler from the pond where the Ross's
goose had been seen. I could not tell size because
there were no other geese to compare it to. Did
anyone see the Ross's goose today? Is it likely that
I saw the Ross's goose or are snow geese being seen in
the area too? It was beautiful to see whichever goose
it was.
