This may be a little late, but all the talk about kestrels reminded me that
while Tom and I were out birding along the lakefront with Craig Caldwell on
Sunday we stopped to see the Ross's Goose on Tyler Road.



We had a nice surprise. Behind us flying from lamp post to lamp post behind the
buildings was a pair of kestrels. This is right off the busy highway.
