Hi all,

Went birding around Mosquito Creek Wildlife Area (Trumbull Co.) today. Ducks were moving through in good numbers. Highlights were:

  Gadwall – 85+
  Northern Pintail – 2
  American Wigeon – 55+
  Ring-necked Duck – 50+
  Hooded Merganser – 25+
  Red-breasted Merganser – 5
  Ruddy Duck - ~3
  American Coot – Hundreds
  Pied-billed Grebe – 20+
  Bonaparte’s Gulls - few
  Northern Harrier - 1
  Double-crested Cormorant - ~40

They also just harvested a corn field on Hoagland Blackstub Rd. which attracted over a hundred gulls and geese, It may be worth checking tomorrow.
