Yesterday evening, while driving across the Route 82 bridge spanning the Cuyahoga River in Summit
County, Sagamore Hills, I glanced to my left and saw a huge bird headed straight at my side window.
Since it was twilight, I assumed it was a Great Horned Owl. As the bird passed over my sunroof, it
was obviously a mature Bald Eagle. I've encountered other birds riding what must be some sort of
updraft created by the steep valley walls and the 200 feet to the river below. In any case, having an
eagle fill the whole frame of the sunroof was a great expereince.
