the adult ross's goose remains along state route 535, fairport-nursery road, in fairport harbor. the bird, feeding with canada geese, was found this morning on the north side of route 535 a little after 8: 00 a.m. after about 45 minutes of observation the ross's goose flew to the south side of the road along with the canada geese. the bird, at least this morning, was easily visible from the road. be careful when parking along the road (one can not walk the fields anymore) as there is a good amount of truck traffic along the road. other observers besides myself who saw the bird were larry rosche, jim mcconnor, anders fjeldstad, and belah shanks. i will attempt to post daily about this bird.
