I was at Sims Park Sat but missed the 40 Scoters
others saw. I only saw a few Scoters in the AM and
the rain, wind and waves made ID's difficult for me.
Friday late there were about 8-10 Hooded Mergansers
with the Scoter group. This is what I saw today
around 1:30 to 2:15pm from high cliff far east end of
park:

Scaup - around 10
Total of 24-25 Scoters (east northeast of pier)
Black Scoters 10-12
Surf Scoter 11-12
White-winged Scoter 1 for sure-probably 2
Common Goldeneye - 30 or so
Bufflehead 12+
Red-breasted Mergansers - many more flying west

Had another Fox Sparrow and White-throated Sparrow in
my backyard 11/11 together just like on 11/6 in the
late afternoon.
