The Lake Erie Islands Christmas Bird Count will be held next Sunday,
December 17. It is a very interesting count with some incredible numbers of
half-hardy winter birds (example, over 90 hermit thrushes last year).
Kelley's, North Bass, Middle Bass, South Bass, and Pelee Islands are all in
the circle. If interested, contact me. Be advised, depending on which
island you are going to you have to take a ferry or fly. At least the lake
isn't covered this year. We struggled to get home last year.
