Shari Jackson and I made an all day trip to some of the birding locales east of Cleveland today with some success.
A mile hike back the Lakefront trail at Mentor Lagoons yielded Surf and Black Scoters plus the King Eider, Sims park gave us the White -winged scoter and at East Lake Power plant we spent some time observing an unusual gull among the thousands of Ring bills, Bonapartes, Herrings, Great Black Backs and with the help of Sibley and several other field guides finaly determined we had a Western Gull! Yip, Yip!
Regards, Shari and Winnie Sarno
