In addition I would like to say that after talking with Ben Morrison about the gull we thought looked like the northern form of Western Gull, we decided to retract that ID due to the rarity of this gull in the east and the complexity of identifying this species. I wish I had a photo. We were able to see it very well and would have been able to get very good pics. Maybe some of the gull experts out there can try to find our mystery gull and give their educated opinions. I don't have as much experience with gulls as many of you have, but I am trying to learn. That's one of the great things about birding. Almost every time you go out you learn something new.

Thanks for your patience.
Shari Jackson

We withdraw our I D of the gull we saw at East Lake power plant. Because we
have no documentation, no photo and have been advised that no other such
sightings have been accepted previously because of hybridization etc.
SORRY!
