For the Mentor CBC this morning I spent a couple hours watching the lake
from Mentor Lagoons.
Highlights:

Northern Pintail, 2
Surf Scoter, 15
Black Scoter, 2
Greater Scaup, 1
Red-breasted Merganser, 713

It was a beautiful day with a light breeze out of the south...so not too
many birds. The
Headlands gang reported 5 Purple Sandpipers out by the lighthouse.

At Eastlake Power Plant on the way home, I didn't spend a long time sorting
through the gulls,
but did see a 2W Thayer's Gull when the birds all took flight.
