It has been requested that kestrel sightings be reported so here are a few I
have seen in the past week. On Dec. 18th we saw one sitting on a power line
on Easton just west of Columbus Rd at 10:00 AM. As we continued on down
Easton, there was another one at Easton & Bentler (a couple of miles or more)
It was definitely a different bird, as the 1st one never flushed nor did it
pass us as we drove. We were doing 55 mph; would a kestrel fly that fast just
going from one perch to another? Couldn't tell sex of either bird, lighting
wasn't that great.

Saw another kestrel the next day, Dec 19th, at the curve of the Trump Rd.
exit off Rt. 30 at 12:15 PM. My husband has seen this bird regularly on his
way to & from work.
