Things have been pretty slow along the lake.  On Wednesday there were only
gulls passing through.  There were 13 great black-backed gulls.  A sign of
this winter, its my second highest count this season.  The high was 18 on
Dec 5.  Usually there are counts in excess of 100 by now.

Location- Lakeshore Reservation, North Perry, Lake County
Date- December 27, 2006, Time- 7:30-9:30
Weather- Cloudy, Winds- NW 10-15
Temperature- 37-35 F, Barometer- 29.96-30.01
Humidity- 73-74, Dew point- 29
Waves- 3-4, Flight direction- west

Ring-billed gull   381
Herring gull   153
Great black-backed gull   13

Today, Thursday, there at least were some red-breasted mergansers flying by,
although not many.  Gull numbers were down from Wednesday.
