today:

5 Hooded Mergansers (3 Female & 2 Male)

A couple hours later I saw 3 females and 2 males
diving in the Newell Run backwater area.

It may also be of interest to note I saw an immature
Black-crowned Night-Heron at Newell's Run about a week
ago.  A little late to post, I know, but upon reading
the description of Newell's Run on ohiobirds.org, I
don't see Black-Crowned Night-Heron's listed in the
winter listing.
