Thanks to all for their help with this topic.   I am starting with e Bird 
but am looking to get a palm or like device to do my documentation in the 
field with one to the other programs mentioned.  I do like ebird as I 
think it is important to share data with Cornell as they do such wonderful 
work.  Next year I plan to work on the OBBA.  Thanks to Rob Thorn and 
others for the encouragement there,  Good birding all!! Phillip
