Greetings... There was a Pileated Woodpecker at Gilmore Ponds this morning. 
This is only the third record of Pileated for Gilmore that I'm aware of, and 
the first I've seen there in many, many visits. So that was interesting. 
Other than that . . . it was rainy and not much was moving around. In 
general, though, the area is filling nicely with water and seems to be 
setting up well for spring ducks and other migrants. I hope.
