While helping Bill Jackson monitor his Jan. winter grid 51D6, I got my BARN OWL fix for the year @ an Amish farm on Penrod rd in Barrs Mills, thanks to Leroy Erb.Some notable birds were:
BARN OWL, in gorgeous plumage
CAROLINA WREN
N. MOCKINGBIRD
HORNED LARKS
ROUGH LEGGED HAWK
WHITE THROATED SPARROW
E. TOWHEE, feeding from a platform feeder outside his one-way window.
Then I was shown the torn screen thru which the Cooper's hawk had sailed thru the previous day and the 3 photos of the surprised and annoyed? looking bird before he flew to freedom1
