Saturday, January 27th - late afternoon. While visiting a friend who lives next door to where the eagles had been nesting in western Holmes Co. (the nest collapsed last spring), my husband saw 2 adult bald eagles sitting in a tree across the road from said friend's house (lucky guy! I guess the eagles do this often!). Moments before my husband arrived, his friend said the eagles where sitting rather close to each other and "chattering" away.

Does anyone know if a new nest is being built? Our friend talked w/ a neighbor who said the eagles were building in the same area as the previous nest, but in a different tree.

Many apologies (again!) for the late post. I think I'm caught up now!

Happy birding,
