A friend and I worked on the Winter Bird Atlas this morning in Delorme
block 57D5 which is mostly in Madison County. It was mostly farm fields
and flat but we had some interesting birds. We saw lots of Horned Larks
and there were a few Lapland Longspurs mixed in. We also found an
American Pipit along the road. We stopped at one place along Little
Darby Creek and flushed a couple Wood Ducks.
