Hi all,

It looks like a good turnout for the February 24th OOS owl symposium, and
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there. For those coming down on
Friday evening the 23rd - and it looks like that will be quite a few of us -
I wanted people to know that Bill Thompson and Julie Zickefoose will be
playing music and singing from about 7 pm to 9 pm. If you'll recall from my
last post about this, Bill (OOS board member and talented musician) and
Julie (Bill's better half and even more talented!) play in a band called the
Swinging Orangutangs and are lots of fun to listen to. So come on down
Friday night if you can, and be part of the action.

The owl symposium will be held at Hueston Woods lodge & resort, and more
details can be found at:
http://www.ohiobirds.org/calendar/society_events/current/about.php

We are thrilled to have owl expert extraordinaire Denver Holt as our keynote
speaker. Check this link for a look at the now famous National Geographic
article that featured Snowy Owls and Denver's work with them:

We'll take registrations for a few weeks yet, and can fit plenty of folks
into the capacious Deer Creek lodge. As with all our events, we welcome
everyone, and hope to see you there!
