On Jan 28th, a single female Common Redpoll was observed in Preble County by
Sue Tackett and myself. The location was west of Farmersville. The bird was
on the south side of Halderman Rd just east of intersection with Quaker Trace
Rd. The field there contained a couple hundred Horned Larks and 20+ Lapland
Longspurs. The redpoll was cooperative, landing on a roadside weed just a short
distance in front of the parked car.
