This morning at Greenlawn, a merlin was perching very
conspicuously at the tops of deciduous trees between
the first fork in the entrance road and the central
mausoleum. At about 11 AM it was right in front of the
mausoleum above the section 32 sign. At about noon
when I left, it had moved eastward onto the first
large traffic island on the entrance road.

There was a juvenile yellow-bellied sapsucker just
west of the bridge.

Happy birding,
Paul
