My backyard bird feeding station has a record number of species. I have BC
Chicadees, which I never had before, along with Downy Woodpeckers, Tufted
Titmice, Goldfinches, Cardinals, Blue Jays, House Finches, one Red-Bellied
Woodpecker, House Sparrows (yuck), a daily visit by Coopers or Sharp-Shin
(swooped down and nailed a rat in my compost pile yesterday), a pair of
Carolina Wrens, WB Nuthatches, Dark-Eyed Juncos, Song Sparrows, Mourning
Doves and Rock Doves. Of course, I see a daily Bald Eagle soaring over my
yard each day; Sandusky Co. has the most eagles in Ohio, over 100. Robert
in Fremont.

I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was
hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by
that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have
worn. Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862)
