During this past week (1/8-13) I have heard Great Horned Owls calling
within close proximity of my yard (Sharon Township, OH; DeLorme 41D5).
At one point, there were 5 calling from various points. Even during the
day there have been at least two calling. I have seen them and heard
them regularly before but not in such abundance or as early. (Usually
February.)

Also: yesterday there was a flock of 1000+ Common Grackles in my back yeard.

Cheers,

Mike
