Just wanted to give a REALLY BIG THANKS to all who participated in the
annual Mid-Winter Eagle Survey for 2007. I received over 40 email
reports that I have forwarded to Mark Shieldcastle at the Division of
Wildlife's Crane Creek Research Station. As I write this, Mark is
undoubtedly pouring over each and every report received from this list
as well as all of the sightings that came in from the general public and
Division staff and other volunteer efforts.

As the survey period stretches for 2 weeks it is a challenge for Mark to
sort through all of the reports and figure out which observations might
be the same eagle seen in a different location on subsequent days. So
when the results come out, if your particular report did not make the
final tally, please keep in mind that "your eagle" may have been
reported in another location for the survey but it was indeed counted.

Thank you again for all of your efforts. We really appreciate the extra
eyes out there. As soon as the survey results are official I will post
them here.

Donna Daniel, ODNR Div. of Wildlife
District 1, Columbus
