My hopes for a shrike were not fulfilled, but I was not disappointed. Today's totals were: Bald Eagle - 4 Northern Harrier - 3 (all female) Red-shouldered Hawk - 7 Red Tail Hawk - 28 Rough-legged Hawk - 3 American Kestrel - 2 Cooper's Hawk - 1 Turkey - 37 Eastern Bluebird - 31 The area can be found in the Delorme map on pages 42-43 and is centered in A5. Holmes County, near Walnut Creek:

Leroy Troyer and I added to the list of those who've seen the Harris' Sparrow
as noted above. We were there about 4:30, unfortunately unable to get
pictures. It's a very striking individual indeed, and the owner of the property is
still very happy to welcome birders inside for a look.

In addition, the farm of Andy Troyer (Cutter Road, just outside
Fredericksburg, south of Wooster):

     - about 150 Horned Lark
     - 3 Lapland Longspur
     - 1 Snow Bunting (Mr. Troyer has been seeing up to 3 at a time)

Likewise a very accommodating property owner.

Thanks to Leroy and to those who shared their birds with us--3 life-listers
in one, REALLY cold and windy day!

Scott
