      Last Friday(Feb. 16th) Bill Kincaid & I visited variuos places
around Columbus
 
Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of I
270 & Rte. 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit.
 
         Thoreau Lake
           Ring-necked Duck 6-male, female
           Redhead 2-male, female
          Lesser Scaup male,female
          
 
Hoover Reservoir is located off of Sunbury Rd., in the northeast corner
of Columbus
 
   Below Dam
    Great Blue Heron-2
    Canvasback 2 male
    Shovelor 4 male, female
    Hooded Merganser 4 male, 11 female
    Goldeneye 11 female, male
    Lesser Scaup-male
    White-throated Sparrow-2
    Bufflehead male, female
 
Alum Creek State Park is located off of Lewis Center Rd. a few miles
east of Rte. 23
 
    Below Dam
      Redhead 23 male, female
      Goldeneye 4 male, female
      Lesser Scaup 4 male
      Bufflehead 2 female
     Canvasback male
 
Highbanks is located off of Rte. 23, about 3 miles north of I 270
 
    Nature Center Bird Viewing Area
       Fox Sparrow
       Cooper's Hawk-adult
       American Tree Sparrow
       Field Sparrow
       White-throated Sparrow
       Hairy Woodpecker-male
