A brown creeper has visited our suet feeder at my home at Lake Harmony twice
this morning that we observed. It doesn't stay long but is and interesting
bird to watch.
I have seen more of these in the last year that ever before. Partly because
I am now more sensitized to their call and habitat. In South Chagrin Res.
near my work I have found a spot where I can usually find one or more each
time I walk.
I have yet to get a good look at one in flight and observe the band of color
along the wing. When they are sitting on a tree trunk they are almost
invisible. I took a picture of one and it still challanges me to find the
bird against the bark.
The sound of singing is a welcome addition to the cold. The Nuthatch,
Cardinals (many), Chickadee, Jays, Titmice, Junco, the standard 3
Woodpeckers and squirrel round out the morning visitors.
