My hoard of 80+ BH Cowbirds have left and no longer overwhelm my feeding
station in Fremont, Ohio. Now, beautiful Common Grackles (Counted 40+
today) appeared suddenly. My resident Cardinals, pair of Carolina Wrens,
Blue Jays, WB Nuthatches, Red-bellied woodpecker, Hairy and Downy
woodpeckers, House finches, Mourning doves, Sharp-shinned hawk, Black-
capped chicadees, Goldfinches, Starlings and House sparrows(yuch) are back
to their normal feeding. Robert

I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was
hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by
that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have
worn. Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862)
