The Harris's Sparrow was still present late this afternoon at the Holmes
County residence(3395 Township Road 406)where it has been since January
26. It was with the flock of white-crowned sparrows, first in the tree
above the feeder and then in the feeder on the ground. I saw it for about
five minutes between 4:35 and 4:45. Then all of the birds abruptly flew
away, possibly because of a kestrel in the area. The residents would like
for everybody who comes there to sign their visitor book. So far there
have been about 150 birders.
Sincerely,
Jim Fry
