I spent about an hour and a half at Spring Valley this afternoon after
work. At the feeders were Cardinals (6), WB Nuthatches (2), Downy
Woodpeckers (4), White-crowned Sparrow (1), White-throated Sparrow
(~30), Fox Sparrow (2), Tree Sparrow (~30), Song Sparrow (4),
Mockingbird (1), Carolina Chickadee (~15) and Mourning Dove (2).

In the little bit of open water were two Mute Swans, Green-wing Teal
(~24), Redhead (2), Mallards (4).

At the gravel pit there were Sandhill Cranes (12), Mallards (many),
Canada Geese (200+ with more coming in). I did not have my scope so
there could have been other species that I could not discern. There is a
little open water.

Good Birding
