I was at Wildwood Park off of Lakeshore Blvd. this afternoon till about 5:45pm.  I didn't see many land birds much but noticed a lot of ducks in the open waters.  I went back to the car and took the scope out the stone pier on the west side of the marina.  Northwest of the pier there were many Common Mergansers.  Saw over 190+.  There were many more but the distance was too great to see them all.
