We are finally all frozen in-ice shanties in the Bay-some open water on
the east side of the island yesterday with the wind. Yesterday, I saw a
flock of Snow Buntings on the beach at South Bass Island State Park where
the gale force winds yesterday afternoon had blown away the snow. How
those birds maintain in the wind is amazing!
Had a report from John Dodge on the island that he had a flock of Eastern
Bluebirds at his home. A treat for us as we usually do not see bluebirds
here this time of year.
