We had many beautiful birds in our back yard today including a Pine Warbler. The Pine Warbler was coming to our feeder in December but as you know the weather was unseasonably warm and when we didn't see it after December 31 we figured it moved south. The cold weather brought it back to the feeders. We started seeing it again on Thursday (Feb 1) and today it spent several hours in the back yard feeding on suet and chopped peanuts. We will do everything we can to try to help it survive the next few days.
We also had Blue Birds and Robins in the back yard and a Rusty Blackbird.
These 2 Blue Birds landed on the same branch but about 6 inches away. The female then hopped left until she was right next to the male. It was quite cute.
