A Carolina wren has been roosting in a Phoebe nest just outside my
bedroom door for most of the winter. Last night I'm fairly certain
that there were TWO wrens snuggled up in the same nest. Every morning
about 7:00, no matter how cold, one of the wrens begins to sing. I
figure that if this wren can sing at 7:00 in the morning when it's
below 0, then I can get up and face the cold. I do get up, but I have
yet to sing.

Last month, I saw a Winter Wren hop out of a beaver dam. It was well
inside the down stream side that was not under water.

        No House trailer wrens, yet.
