Is there a word for the feeling you get when you finally see your nemisis bird? When you see two in one day??

Seems like there should be ... Something German maybe? :)

I took a day off to bird and headed up to 72nd Street Cleveland ... highlights included:

Lesser Black Backed Gull - nemisis #1 a lifer and a gull I have been just missing for years!
Imm. Glaucous Gull
Canvasback
Redhead
Goldeneye

Thanks to John P. for the tips on identification!

I also stopped by the Alum Creek State Park dam ... To check out the spillway and hopefully open water. Entering the parking lot a Pipit flushed along the road. I was able to watch it for a few minutes before it flew off. Another bird that in 20+ years of birding Ohio I kept missing. The usual duck suspects were present including one Canvasback.

Great day!

This morning at 72nd Street in Cleve
