Just got in from birding Spring Valley this afternoon and evening. Had
51 species. The board walk is open again although some of the repairs
look temporary. Also all of the grassland areas have been burned which
should provide good habitat this year.

Ducks must have moved north. Had all of the woodpeckers except
Red-headed Woodpecker. Did not have any rails. The frog chorus was
deafening. There were several species of butterflies and at least three
species of dragonflies. Wildflowers are really starting to bloom. I hope
this makes some sense as I am very tired.
