I visited the Miller residence in Walnut Creek, yest. afternoon (14th) and the Mrs. informed me that her boys had sighted the Harris's sparrow the evening before, back beyond their property on a neighboring farm. I decided it may be worth the effort to go look for it, even though I didn't know the exact location. After walking back through some open fields to get to some suitable looking habitat, I spent about an hour searching through various groups of white-crowned sparrows and sure enough there he was!!
I left there feeling pretty fortunate, as the area in which it looked favorable, was sizeable. Thanks to the Millers' for their hospitality!

Duane Troyer,
Leesburg, Oh.
