Even though we have alot of ice floating around, the ducks are here! While waiting for a plane home saw Common Mergansers, Red-breasted Merganser, Lesser Scaup, Goldeneye, Ruddy Ducks, Redheads, Canvasback all from the Dempsey access bridge. Also saw two Eastern Meadowlarks at the Port Clinton Airfield.
Back home on South Bass Island saw Goldeneye, Bufflehead, Lesser Scaup, and an unidentified Grebe. Spotted Ring-neck Ducks and saw Wood Ducks in the pond last Wednesday.
There were lot of waterfowl in the flooded fields along Route 2 east of Port Clinton including Pintail.
