Hello to all,
Yesterday I birded the western end of Carlisle Reservation in Lorain County
near the equestrian area. I am not a great bird counter so I'll only list
what I found
Eastern Meadowlarks a few
Eatern Bluebird
Red-Tail Hawk
Mallard Ducks
Turkey Vulture
Red-winged Blackbirds
Woodcock - I think, I only saw it as I almost stepped on it but the body
shape and colors were correct as it flew off.
Barred Owl
The owl was very exciting for me as it is the first I have found in the
wild on my own. If anyone wants to know its exact location email me off
list and I'll tell you where I saw it. Based on the number of owl pellets
I found in the area near where the owl was I think this is a regular
roosting spot.
Good Birding to all!!
Matt Vosniak
