Sorry this post is a little late, but Wednesday afternoon on our way over the Sandusky Bay bridge we spotted 1 great white Egret on the south shore behind some homes in Bayview. It is the first we have seen along the northern lakeshore in our area. Have had many blue herons, but the egrets are on their way back.

Yesterday morning, my walk around the tip of Catawba Island showed us three things...the ice is definitely gone, we had a kettle of 35 turkey vultures, and we saw and heard 5 song sparrows. Just waiting to hear the call of the Miller ferries and we know Spring is here for sure!
