A check of the wetlands between rain showers this morning turned up the following birds:

Mallard 122
Blue Winged Teal 2
N. Shoveler 89
N. Pintail 268
Green Winged Teal 189
Ring Necked Duck 155
Lesser Scaup 145
Bufflehead 27
Hooded Merganser 3
Pied Billed Grebe 2

Killdeer 47
Ring Billed Gull 5
Short Eared Owl 1

Tree Swallow 13
Am. Pipit 68
Lapland Longspur 117
E. Meadowlark 24

The 2 Cackling Geese seen last Saturday were not found this morning.

It's unbelievable that killdeer is the only shorebird at this area. Usually by now I've gotten at least 6 species of shorebirds.

Longbrakes' is on pg. 47 of DeLorme, 4,5-B 2 miles south of Forest, Ohio
